Ive bought the Track IR 4 over a year ago, but have had nothing but problems with it. Always saying the System cannot be detected, and Natural Point have been no help at all with getting it fixed. Is TrackIR 5 more stable and less buggy?

I have trackir4 and it has been absolutely perfect for more than 5 months now. Maybe you need to not blame natural point and start figuring out if its related to your system.

I have tried TrackIR on several Systems, with different Windows Versions, all with the same Problem. Plus Checked out the Forums which is full of ppl with the same Problem as me, TrackIR not detected.
It’s not my System, so yes, I will continue to blame Natural Point.
I hate to hear that. I do believe version 5 is less buddy, and smoother head tracking as well.
this would help a little bit for student pilots getting ASEL but useless in getting the instrument rating. for IR, its even opposite; who have to wear the IFR hood or visor. but this product great, it basically change flight simulation.
I really have no problems with TrackIR 4, it works great in ArmA2, Fsx (REALLY WELL in Fsx) and pretty much everything else. Im wondering why some people have that problem, and others dont. Updates? drivers?

dose track IR reduce fps when using it with fsx? I mean fsx alone already give my pc a hard time…
because the camera is no longer static but moves with you, its more realistic and immersive, incredible!

Very nice video, I am thinkin gof getting TrackIR5 myself, But it has quite a big price tag (£125 in UK), i used Freetrack, attatched 1 LED to a hat, it was quite cool how i could Look around in the cockpit (Thats all i could do using 1 led), TrackIR lokos amazing, and i just wanted to know, Is it as smooth as it looks?. Dose it Bounce around alot?,
all versions of trackir work fine. Just remember to install as an admin…. BUT
do not run the software as admin, then it will not work inside many simulator games..
Trackir 2 – 3 – 4 – 5all work well it must be a user issue. Also you could try installing the driver manual and when windows ask you are you sure you want to install this driver that are non compatible say yes….
Well i had no problems at all and i had versions 3 – 4 – 5 of trackir. on xp,vista 64 ,win7 64 bit.

Dont know wat your problem is……. If you know how to do research, you would notice their Forums is FULL of the same problem as me. Alot of their TrackIR 4’s are buggy, and yes i have bought a new 1, i have bought TrackIR 5 and it works great. So how bout minding your own business unless you have your facts right….
